Self-Guided Walking Tour Available:
A self-guided walking tour of Northport's Historic Main Street is now available in our Museum Shop at a cost of $5 per person. Tour-goers will be equipped with an MP3 player containing audio information, a book of historic photographs and directions for their use. The tour is available during regular museum hours, Tuesdays-Sundays from 1-4:30 p.m.

Our newest exhibit is now open in the Museum Main Gallery, 215 Main Street, Northport. Tuesdays-Sundays, 1:00-4:30 p.m. A donation of $3 per person is suggested. This exhibit is sponsored, in part, by Not Just Scrap of Centereach (www.notjustscrap.com).
Sunday, September 19th -- Parading Down Main Street.
Join us for an entertaining and informative guided walking tour of Northport's historic business district. Using photos from our collection and a true gift for storytelling, your guide will make Main Street's past come alive. Tickets may be purchased the day of the tour in the Museum Shop at a cost of $5 per person. The tour group meets at 1:30 p.m. on the front steps of our Musuem, 215 Main Street, Northport.
Saturday, September 25th -- Smithsonian Museum Day
Northport Historical Society will be participating in Museum Day, an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Media in which participating museums across the country open their doors for free to anyone presenting a Museum Day Ticket. Sunday, September 26th -- Cow Harbor Day
Don't forget to stop by our Museum, located at 215 Main Street, as you enjoy the Village of Northport's annual celebration. Check out our latest exhibit, visit the Museum Shop, or purchase refreshments on our front lawn. Either way, we hope to see you there!
Sunday, October 10th -- Annual History Contest, "The Most Surprising Thing I Learned About Northport"
Winners of our Annual History Contest will be feted at Northport Village Hall, 224 Main Street, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Local History author Bob Little will be sharing selections from his soon-to-be-published book Snapshots in Time.

Sunday, November 7th -- Annual Antiques Show.
This much anticipated event, under the promotion of Elias Pekale Shows, Ltd., is a favorite among antiquers, collectors and designers. The show promises an exciting mix of approximately 50 dealers, displaying diverse offerings of antique, vintage, and collectible items. Furniture, silver, linens, country and primitive, pottery, china, jewelry, ephemera and much more will be offered for sale. This event will be held at the Laurel Avenue School, 158 Laurel Avenue, Northport. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Admission is $6 per person.
Sunday, November 14th -- Appraisal Day

Thursday, November 25th -- Gallery Closed (Thanksgiving).
Sunday, December 5th -- Annual Holiday Party.
Members are invited to join us in celebrating the holiday season. Please bring your favorite hors d'oeuvre and a non-perishable donation for the local food pantry. 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., Main Gallery, 215 Main Street, Northport.
Sunday, December 12th -- Holiday House Tour, "Homes for the Holidays." Northport Historical Society's popular house tour is back again! More details to follow.
